This is my build log of a Sling TSI four-seater aircraft. Started in October 2021 building a quick build kit in my home workshop in the South of England. Although a quick build kit still means time to complete is over 1000 hrs.
I make these notes mostly for my own record, also in case some of the pictures and challenges along the way are helpful to the Sling builder community.
The Sling TSI is a state-of-the-art 4-seat kit plane made by The Airplane Factory of South Africa. Gaining popularity globally, it uses a Rotax 915iS turbocharged fuel-injected engine to achieve great performance. Cruise of 148 KTAS, maximum take-off weight of 950 kg. It uses an Airmaster electrically controlled constant speed propellor. With a Garmin instrument fit, it’s capable of IFR flight.
